OpenSea has confronted the industry-wide hand-wringing about the widespread creator royalty circumvention by rolling the Operator Filter Registry.
Following the final on-chain royalty enforcement deadline for new collections on January 2nd, the percentage of royalty-honoring trades for popular NFT projects has ascended back to levels north of 69.7%.
In addition, it has allowed these projects to recover some of their royalty earnings, with BAYC generating an additional $142.4K in royalty earnings since January 2nd.
